Property Technician at Region Gotland

Property Service Visby

The Property Management Department of the Technical and Community Planning Administration manages the region's building stock, which includes hospitals, schools, preschools, and administrative offices, among others. Our main task is to ensure that the region's administrations and external customers have suitable premises at the lowest possible cost. The unit's property technicians are responsible for the supervision and maintenance of the regional building stock in Visby. The unit also performs supplementary work in the construction, electrical, and plumbing areas.

We are now looking for a driven and service-oriented property technician who wants to contribute to ensuring that our properties are safe, functional, and attractive.

Your Responsibilities

With us, you will have the opportunity to work independently with varied tasks in a role where no day is the same. As a property technician with us, you will:

  • Be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and service of our properties
  • Perform troubleshooting and urgent repairs
  • Conduct planned maintenance and inspections
  • Manage and coordinate contacts with external contractors
  • Perform minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work
  • Ensure that properties and technical systems comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Be the tenants' first contact for technical questions
  • Document completed work in our property system

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with a high school education in property management, plumbing, electrical work, or equivalent. You have experience in property maintenance and operations, as well as good knowledge of building technology. A driver's license (B) is required. You express yourself very well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is an advantage if you have completed relevant vocational training or other further education in the field. Certification for work with refrigeration and heat pump systems is seen as a benefit, as well as experience with property systems, operational monitoring, and work with rental properties.

As a person, you are mature, independent, and proactive. You are self-sufficient and flexible but also stable in your work approach. Your ability to collaborate and build relationships, combined with your empathetic side, makes you a valued team member. You communicate well verbally and have a natural service orientation. With your economic awareness, creativity, and problem-solving analytical skills, you contribute to developing the organization.

The Technical and Community Planning Administration works to create an efficient, quality-assured, and sustainable community planning process that meets the needs of our residents, businesses, and visitors today and in the future. We are responsible for physical planning, construction, and management of buildings, infrastructure, and parks.
